WOLVES

Welcome to Light Conversations.  A podcast hosted by DahTruth.com.  My name is Jacqueline Session Ausby and I am your host.  I welcome you to step inside my Livingroom and join in on the conversation as I seek to illuminate darkness using the word of God.

This is my very first podcast and it’s my intent to come to you ever other week to discuss topics that intersect between the World and the Church.  More specifically the African American Church which has been my experience.  This week’s topic will be:

Topic:  Wolves.  The fakes in our social media feeds.   “They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves” (Matthew 7:15).

Scripture Reference: Psalm: 37-25 “I was young and now I am old, and I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken or my seed begging bread.”

Background:  Lately I’ve been thinking about the Apostle Paul.  He wrote 13 books out of the 27 New Testament writings.  He had been beaten, shipwrecked, arrested--at least three times according to scripture--and crucified sometime around 60AD by the emperor Nero.  While he was bound and chained, he continued to minister to the Churches.  He sacrificed and suffered and took pride in his sufferings because he understood his reward was not in this life.  Paul did not pimp the Holy Spirit for profit.  He didn’t sell blessings, to Emperors, Judges or Guards to bribe and barter for a lavish lifestyle of freedom.  He traded no word or anointing for seeds.  He defended the Gospel even to death.

Ministers today don’t have that kind of heart.  They won’t be bound and chained for Christ.  They lack the courage to stand on the Word of God.  Hence the Roe vs. Wade decision suddenly becomes a woman’s issue that is too political to be discussed by the church.  Or Pastors side with darkness.

Men and women proclaiming to wear the “full armor of God” won’t even “pretend” to defend the pulpit when fake intruders enter and rob the sanctuary.  Instead, they drop down to the floor and hide--by the way if you wanted us to believe you really got robbed, you at least should have gotten shot.  Too many want glory with no sacrifice and praise with no blood.

This week I will focus on those men and women that pop into our feeds proclaiming they have a word from God and selling that word for a seed.

Wolves| the fakes in our feeds.

The book of Samuel is one of the great historical books in the Old Testament.  The overall message one can gleam from the book is it illustrates the way God choose a family to bring forth the first Prophet from Israel, who he raised from the dead just before he shifted the mantel from the House of Benjamin to the House of Judah. Thereby establishing his Kingdom in the midst of sin, chaos and wickedness and confusion.

Most of us know the story of Elkanah and his two wives, Hannah and Peninnah.  Elkanah loved his wives; he had children from Peninnah, but Hanna had been barren.  Samuel chapter 1 says, the Lord had “shut up” her womb.  Samuel The book begins with his birth and ends with God raising him from the dead.

Raising Samuel from the dead is my favorite part of the book of Samuel.  It happens in Chapter 28 when Samuel is already dead.  During this same time, King Saul had banished all the witches and mediums from the Land.  It was then the Philistines threated Israel with war and once Saul saw the size of the Philistine he had been gripped with fear.

Saul prayed to the Lord, but received no word.  In his desperation he asked his solders to find a witch and they directed him to one in a place called Endor.  At night Saul put on one of his solders uniforms and goes down to visit the witch.  The witch didn’t recognize Saul, but initially she had been afraid.  Saul assures her that she would not be put to death then commands her to bring forth the Prophet Samuel.  It was then the witch realized Saul was the King, but after his assistance, she calls forth Samuel.  To both their surprise, Samuel appears. When he asked the witch what she saw, she replied,

“I saw a Divine One coming up from the Earth,” that’s the NIV.  The King James says, “I saw gods coming out of the earth.”  This reminded me of Isaiah 61:1:

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. A prophecy fulfilled by Christ in Luke 4:18.

What we witness in this story is a demonstration of the Power of God.  It wasn’t anything the woman had done to bring forth Samuel.  But in that moment God used that “witch” to manifest his strength.  God has the Power to Raise the dead.

And now back to my point.  This had been during a period in Israel’s history that was dark, according to scripture, “the word of the Lord had been “precious.” Meaning it was infrequent. People lived life as usual, evident by the continued worship at Shiloh.  At the same time things were chaotic.  King Saul was at war.  David was on the run and the priests in the Holy Places were wicked.  Yet God inserted himself in cultural, by opening up Hanna’s womb and bringing forth Israel’s first prophet.

What I like about Samuel is the use of Hannah.  She was blessed when God opened her womb, and she sacrificed her Son.  She dedicated Samuel to the Lord and allowed him to be raised by Eli, the High Priest in Shiloh.  Eli, had two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, who were also priests, but they were wicked. This story is often overlooked, but it reads like this…

Samuel 2:12 says, “Eli’s sons were scoundrels.  They had no regard for the Lord.”  That’s the NIV Version.  King James says, “Now the sons of Eli were the sons of Belial (wicked/evil/good for nothing), they knew not the Lord.  Yet they stood as Priests serving the people of God.

I will read this entire section to you:

12 “Eli’s sons were scoundrels.  They had no regard for the Lord.”  That’s the NIV Version.  King James says, “Now the sons of Eli were the sons of Belial they were (wicked/evil/good for nothing), they knew not the Lord.  Yet they stood as Priests serving the people of God.  13 Now it was the practice of the priests that, whenever any of the people offered a sacrifice, the priest’s servant would come with a three-pronged fork in his hand while the meat was being boiled 14 and would plunge the fork into the pan or kettle or caldron or pot. Whatever the fork brought up the priest would take for himself. This is how they treated all the Israelites who came to Shiloh. 15 But even before the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the person who was sacrificing, “Give the priest some meat to roast; he won’t accept boiled meat from you, but only raw.”

22 Now Eli, who was very old, heard about everything his sons were doing to all Israel and how they slept with the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 23 So he said to them, “Why do you do such things? I hear from all the people about these wicked deeds of yours. 24 No, my sons; the report I hear spreading among the Lord’s people is not good. 25 If one person sins against another, God[d] may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the Lord, who will intercede for them?” His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the Lord’s will to put them to death.

Hophni and Phinehas were having sex with women that served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.        Threatening those to give them raw meat and they were stealing God’s offering right out of the pot.

Sounds familiar.  Is this not the way many who profess to be Reverend, apostles, bishops, overseers Evangelists and prophets behave.  How many have been in a service when they called for a specific seed amount and asked you to get in line? That’s taking the offering raw.  Right of the top.  They take the sacrifice for themselves before it’s been presented to God.  How many of us who happen to have the offering amount proudly take our places in line?   Letting the world know we are blessed and highly favored—oh the hypocrisy.

Then once the offering is in the house, the Shephard’s dip right into the pot.  You want a jet?  Dip in the pot.  You need a deposit for your house? Dip in the pot.  You want a new car or need car repairs? Dip in the pot.

God takes from the world and gives to his own people.  The Hebrews left Egypt as promised to Abraham (Gen. 15:14) with silver and gold.  Many Pastors are not ashamed to use the money reserved for God’s house to fund their lavish or even not so lavish lifestyles.  They take it right out the pot that belongs to God.

You think with the recent controversary about tithing, people like Creflo Dollar who claimed to have been delivered would stop pimping the people of God.  The Devil has managed to convenience ministers that 10% is technically insufficient.  Giving is what every God lays on you heart, except at mininum it’s 10%, but it could be 20-30% as well.  Really?

I’ve been recently following a podcast with Jesse Lee Peterson.  He has a few talk-show platforms.  He professes to be Christian.  He talks about blacks with such disdain, it’s a wonder he doesn’t kill his own self for being born black.  He is obsessed with the white man, even created a holiday that’s called “white history month.”   He calls black woman evil, as if his mother wasn’t “black.”

He brings gay people onto his platform and tears them down.  It’s sad because he has no regard for their mental health.  He sends those who are brave enough to go onto his platform storming off in anger.

Over the last several years, men have been coming out the woods claiming, “Jesse is Gay.” A few claim to have been in sexual relationships with him.  Some of the encounter’s sound like boarder-line rape.  Yet he attacks Gays with a deep viciousness that is evil.  The man is in darkness.

God draws you with “love and Kindness.”  Jesse is not kind.  He is undisguised.  A mean wolf. He projects his anger on those like him—those living a life in darkness.  Yet he pretends to be illuminated by his intellect.  He’s going to hell because in his own mind, he may not be Christ, but he was the black man that help carry the cross.  He doesn’t realize he’s a perverted narcissist who worships white gods.

I decided to do this podcast not because of people like Jesse.  He’s a wolf in wolves clothing.  But there are countless small-time wolves that clutter our social media feeds.  Their like bench players, collecting a check without earning any stars.  Wolves disguised in godly garments, pretending to be holy people of God, yet they are very different. Eli and his sons were priest and so was Samuel.  They all wore priestly garments.  Yet they were different.  Samuel was unlike Eli, Hophni (Hof/an/knee) or Phinehas.  In Samuel Chapter 2:26 reads, “And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the Lord and with people.

During the days when Eli was High Priest there were at least four priests in Shiloh. Three out of those four were wicked.  Among the “so-called” servants, one-third were evil—just like the one-third cast down from Heaven.  I’m not saying this text is referring to that one-third cast out of heaven.  But this text is saying there are those out their disguised in priestly garments who are wolves.

Watch out!  Our social media timelines are flooded with far too many professing to have a prophecy, a dream or vision from God. With not a single proven metric.   They come on different platforms, wearing different titles:  Apostles, Bishops, Prophets, Midwives.  They all claim to have a word from the Lord.  They sell various versions of salvation—simply by planting a seed.  It’s a bit disheartening.  I am not one to say don’t seed.  I am a giver and I believe in the principle of giving.  So, I’m not saying if you feel led, to not plant your seeds. By all means plant seeds and believe God will give the increase.

Matter of fact, there is a brother out in Atlanta.  Phillip Anthony Mitchel, he has a terrific story.  He lived in NY and apparently had gotten into some trouble but was delivered by God.  He preaches with such conviction and passion, more than that he preaches the Word.  He’s a shepherd of a church.  I always say, I’m going to give to his ministry.  I listen to him just about every Sunday and I am truly blessed. But I haven’t done it yet. But certainly, give to your home ministry first and then if you feel led, give to other ministries.

Recently I came across a post by an Evangelist with a fascinating story.  She spoke with such boldness and clarity as she described her story.  She was hype, tears were falling for her eyes, and she projected loudly as she proclaimed the way God delivered her.   My first instinct was she was a fake.  But the way she was out of breath and extra-hype, I listened.

I believe she has AIDS—or HIV. She had lived a lifestyle of selling drugs, stealing, fraud.  She had been in and out of jail, in lesbian and bi-sexual relationships with her husband.  She had affairs and slept with various men while married.  As I listened to her story, I was reminded of proverbs 5:3 “for the lips of a strange woman drop as honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil.  But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.  Her feet go down to death, her steps take hold on hell.”

I was turned off by this so-called “Evangelists.”  She glamorized her past experiences.  I couldn’t help feeling like she was selling sex, under the guise of deliverance.  She had no problem sharing every single nasty detail of her experiences.   I believe deliverance is really between you and God and there are somethings that should probably be kept in the secret place of the Most-High.  But she was letting it out.

When I stared reading some of the comments, I felt guilty. People in the comments sections were really feeling her testimony. Her story resonated with their story.   They gave God glory.  Some wanted to be delivered.  So, I figured, who am I to judge.  Her ministry may not for me, but it might be leading those caught up in that lifestyle to deliverance.

Then she came to the end of her video.  Then she asked for a seed.  But she didn’t just ask, she seemed to beg.  I went to her YouTube Channel, and I started going through her videos.  It seems she really stepped up her game over the last year.  A few months ago, she had a mouth-filled with gold-teeth.  A few years ago, she did a couple videos from her car with those gold teeth.  She got rid of those gold teeth, replaced them with bright-white teeth, like bright-white paper.  Now she is filming from her bedroom where the backdrop is a gold-colored bedframe.  She wears colored contacts in her eyes, fake eyelashes, long nails, gold rings and a gold chain and fake hair.

On her YouTube channel she has a picture colleague of her past experiences.  Like a serial killer keeps objects to remind them of their victims.  She has photos to remind of her where she had been.  A few of them showing her holding wads of money.  In one photo she notes, “I used to love money.”

She still loves money.  She’s a wolf.  Like Hophni and Phinehas she is filled with the lustful desires of the flesh and will take what she can, anyway she can. Even if it means taking for those individuals who are currently growing through some of the same things she had been delivered from. I guarantee she didn’t see her way out of her circumstances. But David said, “I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken or my seed begging bread.”  There’s no way God would have you out here begging for seeds like that.    She is not ashamed to share stores about the illicit lifestyle she lived, and she glamorizes her deliverance.  All she wants is that seed and she isn’t too proud to shift herself into a delivered victim and beg.

She’ll say something like, “God has laid it on my heart to ask for seed of 27.  Some of yawl going to sow $27, some $127, some $527, some $1,027.  You want to be blessed you got to give a seed. If you want your family delivered, you need to make it a ‘double.’  You don’t even realize that witches and warlocks are surrounding you.  You need to plant a seed. And make sure it’s not the wrong person because there are so many fake pages trying in my name trying to get my seed.”

You might be wandering what happened to Eli and his two sons, so I will go ahead and told you.  God killed them all in the same day.  Woo to those that robbed the sheep and pimp the Word of God for profit.  For God’s words says, “Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”  Eccl. 11:10.

To those of you like me.  Just a person that wants to serve the Lord.  Do not be deceived God will repay.  Stand firm, don’t be deceived and more than anything, “Banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body.” God will make a way—

This is my first Podcast, but it’s my prayer that you join me again as we talk about the intersection of the church and the world.
